Invest in companies that are either #1 or #2 in their industries, or the fastest-growing firm in their industries.

Those that can sustain double-digit operating margins are much more likely to produce big profits over time for themselves and for investors.
5. Entrepreneurs over state-own enterprises (SOEs)

largest producer of primary aluminum in China and the second largest in the world.
China Mobile (NYSE:CHL)
enjoy monopoly as the world's largest provider in China's exploding wireless industry.
China Life (NYSE:LFC)
leader in China's heavily protected life insurance industry.
Huaneng Power (NYSE:HNP)
largest power producer in China

2. After earning substantial gains on a position, use a trailing stop- one that automatically adjusts with the stock's upward movement.
3. Trailing stops should be at least 14% away from the recent high so that you don't get bounced out on normal volatility.
